A water spay system is used in gardens to water the lawn. Now all the spray systems are controlled by a tap and a physical valve. An intelligent water spray system should be able to detect human presence and control the spray accordingly. To detect human presence a PIR sensor calibrated to human heat signature can be used.

The spray can be controlled using a solenoid valve. A simple microcontroller can be used to control this circuitry. The advantage is that the spray will shut itself down as soon a human being enters the lawn.
