A water cannon is used to drive people away from some building or some particular area. Many protests are handled very effectively with water cannons. Water cannons are becoming very popular because you can use it very effectively with out hurting the victim. One major problem associated with water cannons is that its very difficult to control them manually due to the water pressure.

Here the idea is to create an automated water cannon which will automatically detect its targets and shoot water at them. This is achieved by using a set of PIR human sensors and proximity detectors. These sensors are used to find out human presence and their distance from the cannon. If they are sufficiently close the cannon with position itself automatically using the sensor data and will shoot at the target.
